Ewen started his career in advertising at the British birthplace of account planning, Boase Massimi Pollitt.
After becoming the youngest member of the board of directors at BMP, Ewen moved to DDB in New York, where he partnered with Andy Berlin with the mandate to revive an iconic agency. A few years and a few iterations later, the independent agency Berlin Cameron and Partners was formally launched in 1998. Berlin Cameron was acquired by WPP in 2002, and named Agency of the Year by both Adweek and Ad Age in 2005, a joint recognition that had never been seen before (and hasn’t happened since).
Ewen joined the Board of Vice Media during the meteoric rise of that company as an innovative media brand. His focus on innovation and new ways of connecting brands to consumers and culture led to him refocus Berlin Cameron on the emerging power of Web3 and Generative AI. The agencies web3 work for Under Armour, Coke and L’Oreal has been well recognized and awarded including a number of prestigious Cannes Lions.
Ewen continues to lead Berlin Cameron as a niche creative and innovation agency within the VMLY&R family as well as leading creative projects where web3 or innovation is the core strategic focus.
