Jamie Silverman, Creative Director
A Brooklyn girl by birth—and at heart—Jamie started her career working as a paralegal at an intellectual property firm. After coming to the conclusion that there were far more enjoyable ways to spend her day, she shifted gears and returned to her true passion—writing.
Beginning as a creative assistant at Ogilvy, she sold a campaign, was sent on her first shoot for Honey Bunches of Oats and got instantly hooked on the advertising life. Following her cereal-filled beginnings, she proceeded to work as an award-winning creative at Ogilvy, mcgarrybowen and Publicis, among others. During her time at these agencies, she worked on brands spanning from Disney and Crayola to Verizon, Heineken, Blistex, Citi, and United. The daughter of a veterinarian, she even had the chance to spend some time working on Fancy Feast.
Deeply invested in establishing gender equality among creatives (and in life) Jamie has spearheaded a number of initiatives geared towards accomplishing that goal. One such endeavor was Creative Directing the work produced at Publicis for GEMS, a pro-bono client whose mission is to eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of girls and young women.
When she’s not writing ads, she’s writing blogs, running marathons, biking over the GW bridge, and spending time with her menagerie of pets.
